A Discovery Canyon Campus High School teacher is being recognized by MIT because of his positive influence on a former student.

Jonathan Bluff is an engineering teacher at DCC in Academy D20. He recently received a prestigious recognition from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology because of his former leadership with current MIT student Taylor Wagnor.

Wagnor nominated Bluff because of his influential development while a student in Bluff's class.

Upon receiving the recognition, Bluff said “One of the biggest rewards a teacher can receive is seeing their former students take on the incredible challenge of designing the world of tomorrow.”

DCC says, like Taylor, they’re “extremely appreciative of the influence Jonathan has had, and that he’s a “beloved teacher whose passion and dedication is felt in everything he does.”
