COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Jamie Kopinski has been a foster mom for four years. She has two biological kids and four sibling foster kids: a total of six teenagers, three of whom are seniors.

Kopinski threw her family a "Taco Bout Prom" themed celebration, which included tacos, piñatas and a dance party for the high school students. She felt it was important for the kids to have some amazing memories during this difficult time.

Angee Ferris from JuneBug Productions donated her time to take porch pictures. Annette Marie Florals provided the colorful corsages and boutonniere.

May is National Foster Care Month, a time to celebrate foster families like the Kosinski family and encourage individuals who are interested in fostering to reach out and learn more at KidsCrossing.com. Kids Crossing is looking for caring and loving families who can provide safety and stability to a child who's going through a tough time.
