Pueblo police investigate after man shot in head, injured overnight

PUEBLO, Colo. -- The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Tuesday morning on Pueblo's east side.

Around 2:21 a.m. officers responded to a call in the 1200 block of Deane Lane for a reported shooting.

At the scene, officers found a 29-year-old male bleeding from the top his head. The injury was an apparent gunshot wound, police say. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries from the shooting.

Officers found six bullet holes on the outside of the residence and identified a red-colored sedan as a possible suspect vehicle, according to the police report.
