Fountain police investigating early morning shooting Wednesday

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police in Fountain are investigating after a shooting victim walked into a gas station near I-25 early Wednesday to call police.

Police got a call from the Love's Country Store at I-25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway near Fort Carson around 3 a.m. Wednesday. A man who had been shot walked into the store to call police.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

They do not have a suspect at this time. Anyone with information is asked to give Fountain Police a call at (719)382-8555.
