Pueblo Fire Department

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A kitten was rescued at the Colorado state fairgrounds Saturday night after crawling into an engine after the motor had been turned off.

The Pueblo Fire Department said they were called to investigate an engine compartment that was still "purring long after the motor was turned off."

PFD said were able to safely remove the kitten and hand her off to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region.
