USFS

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Sunday morning Teller and Park county officials announced residents who were previously under mandatory evacuations could go back to their residences at noon Sunday.

All mandatory evacuation zones have been reduced to pre-evacuation zones and all pre-evacuation zones remain the same.

TCSO said only people who live in the homes will be allowed back onto the properties.

Officials urged all residents to stay in their homes once they get back and not to interfere with any firefighting efforts they may see around their home.

"You may see smoke, you may see flames," Sheriff Jason Mikesell said.

As of noon Sunday, the fire sits at 1,450 acres burned with 25% containment.
