Early morning shooting in Colorado Springs leaves one in hospital

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- One person is in the hospital after being shot on the southeast side of town Saturday morning, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said they responded to the Summit Creek Apartments on Chelton Road around 4:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting.

One person was taken to the hospital with injuries, but their condition is unknown.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
