PCSO

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Detectives with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s (PCSO) Special Investigation Unit arrested a 35- year-old man, Max E. Struck, on a warrant for first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Patti Magby, a 73-year-old, at a residence in a rural area of southwest Pueblo County on October 21, 2022.

The PCSO says that Magby was found shot outside a residence. After sheriff’s deputies responded to that location on a possible shots-fired call, deputies attempted lifesaving measures on Magby until medical personnel arrived. Magby was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An investigation determined that Magby’s death was a homicide.

According to the PCSO, detectives learned the night of the incident, Magby, who lived nearby on Bergemann Road, had gone to Struck’s residence for an unknown reason. Struck fired a gun and Magby, who was not armed, was killed.

the PCSO says that Max E. Struck was arrested without incident on November 10. He has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
