Man threatened with baseball bat and gun at Colorado Springs hotel

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man was threatened with a baseball bat and a gun by a man and woman who broke into his hotel room late Saturday night near Downtown Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said officers responded to a hotel in the 1000 block of S. Nevada just before midnight to a report of a home invasion and menacing. The victim told police that a man and woman staying in another hotel room had kicked in the victim's door and threatened him with a baseball bat and gun. The victim said he vaguely knew the pair who broke in.

Witnesses pointed out the hotel room the woman was hiding in and she voluntarily came out. Police found a gun in the room she was in. 24-year-old Bethany Wood was arrested for 1st-degree burglary and menacing.

The male suspect ran away but the police said they are looking for him. He is identified as 30-year-old Thomas Porter. Police ask anyone with information to contact CSPD.
