Highway 105 back open after fire caused by downed power lines near Palmer Lake

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Highway 105 is back open between Red Rock Ranch Drive and Page Street Sunday morning after it was shut down due to fire activity.

The fire burned about three acres early Sunday morning, according to the Palmer Lake Fire Department. Officials said it was caused by downed power lines.

As of 9 a.m. all roads are back open and the fire is under control but Palmer Lake Fire said there are about five downed powerlines in the area so some residents should expect to be without power for the majority of the day.
