Mesa County deputies seized 90,000 Fentanyl pills during I-70 arrest

MACK, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Mesa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputy pulled a car over the morning of Sept. 21 along I-70.

The MCSO says that during a voluntary search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered 16 wrapped packages containing suspected Fentanyl.  Upon further investigation, fifteen of the packets contained blue fentanyl pills, estimated at a total of 90,000 pills. The remaining package contained 2.4 lbs of white Fentanyl powder.

According to the MCSO, 22-year-old Adan Carillo-Murillo was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility. 

He is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Drug Felony 1, and Special Offender for transporting drugs into the state of Colorado, a Drug Felony 1.
