KRDO

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman accused of plotting with supporters of the conspiracy group "QAnon" to kidnap her son from a foster home was on trial Monday in Douglas County.

According to our Denver news partners, 53-year-old Cynthia Abcug faces a felony charge of conspiracy to commit second-degree kidnapping and child abuse knowingly or recklessly causing injury.

9News reports Abcug is accused of planning a "raid" to kidnap her son. He was removed from her care in May 2019 by child protective services and placed with a foster family.

She pleaded not guilty to both charges.

That trial has already been delayed seven times, most recently earlier this month.

The trial is expected to last up to four days.
