Suspect in Woodland Park was arrested for a DUI and narcotics

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Woodland Park Police Department (WPPD) arrested a suspect for driving under the influence and narcotics.

At 2:15 a.m. officers noticed a vehicle that was driving recklessly along Hwy. 24 and Grace Ave in reverse. The car was pulled over and officers a DUI investigation was conducted.

During the DUI investigation, officers placed the suspect under arrest and located methamphetamine and fentanyl in addition to over two pounds of marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia, according to the WPPD.

The WPPD says the suspect was charged with a DUI, possession of an open container of marijuana in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, and marijuana-related offenses.

According to the WPPD, the suspect is being held at the Teller County Jail on $2,000 bond.
