Monument Police warn residents of phone scam

MONUMENT, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Monument Police Department is warning people about a phone scam targeting residents.

According to police, individuals claiming to work for the Monument Police Department are calling people trying to collect fraudulent payments.

Police remind people to never give any personal or financial information to someone claiming to be from the department.
