Pueblo West man arrested for sexually assaulting a child for more than ten years

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office arrested a 75-year-old man on several felony charges after reportedly sexually assaulting a child for more than a decade.

Detectives learned William Plymell began sexually assaulting and sexually exploiting the victim when he was 12 years old. According to the PCSO, the assaults and exploitation continued until the victim was 23.

After several months of investigation, Plymell was arrested. He faces numerous charges including sexual exploitation of a child Felony 5, sexual assault on a child pattern of abuse Felony 3, sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust Felony 3, and criminal extortion Felony 4.

While executing a search warrant, the PCSO says detectives found that Plymell had child sexual abuse material.

Plymbell has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail with a bond of $250,000.
