Man shot in the leg walking near Dorchester Park early Sunday morning

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man was shot in the leg by an unknown suspect while walking near Dorchester Park on the south side of town early Sunday morning, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said they responded to the hospital Sunday morning to talk with a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

At the hospital, the victim explained he was walking around 4:30 a.m. Sunday near Dorchester Park when he was shot. The victim was unable to provide any suspect description.

The victim sustain non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting is under investigation.
