Gateway Prayer Garden hosts sunrise Easter service with a cross as big as a football field

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- Gateway Prayer Garden in Fountain hosted it's first ever sunrise Easter service Sunday at 6 a.m. with a massive cross on the ground spanning the length of a football field.

Organizers said they spent years planning for the event, after it was delayed several times due to COVID-19.

Dozens of people gather Sunday before sunrise to celebrate at the prayer garden.
