Local ice cream shop finds sweet way to support Ukraine

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Josh & John's Ice Cream Shop has a new flavor on their menu and it's helping in more ways than one.

Starting this Friday, the 'Yellow Cake' flavor will be temporarily replaced with 'Ukrainian Honey Babka' flavored ice cream. The 'Ukrainian Honey Babka' is a honey yellow cake ice cream with Nilla wafers and brown sugar and will be served with a bit of cream cheese and frosting on top.

The shop will charge an extra .25 cents for orders of this flavor and will match the extra 25 cents in donations to help support Ukraine. But, even if they choose not to try the new flavor, they can still donate to the cause.

Their response to people asking when the Yellow Cake flavor will return is "whenever the Ukraine/Russia conflict ends."

This flavor is at any Josh & John's locations across Southern Colorado.
