Meet Barry! The HSPPR Pet of the week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - This is Barry and he is your Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region!

Barry is a one-year-old fawn and white Staffordshire terrier mix.

He walks great on a leash and enjoys treats in return for his good manners. While Barry has lived with other dogs, he will do best in a home without cats or other small animals as he does have a high prey drive.

Barry does well with kids, but you can expect him to be jump, so he might do best in a home with older children. Sudden loud noises and changes to his environment can scare Barry, but once he’s settled in, his guard will come down. Barry knows how to play hard and relax harder.

Barry’s adoption fee is waived this weekend only, thanks to our friends at Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Licensing fees may apply. Barry will go home with his vaccinations, a voucher for a vet exam, a microchip, and he’s neutered.

You can see all the other dogs, cats, and small animals available for adoption at HSPPR.org or stop by the shelter at 610 Abbot Lane to visit Barry today.
