DEA Agents execute multiple search warrants in Fountain, Pueblo

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- 13 Investigates confirmed the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) executed multiple search warrants across Southern Colorado Tuesday.

In Fountain, police activity was reported just before 10 a.m. near Fontaine Blvd. and S. Powers Blvd. The Fountain Police Department told KRDO officers are in the area carrying out a search warrant. DEA was also on the scene.

According to police, a search warrant was conducted at 7050 Medicine Bow Ave. People were asked to avoid the 7000 block of Medicine Bow Ave.

While DEA was executing a search warrant in Fountain, they were doing the same thing in Pueblo.

The Pueblo Police Department told 13 Investigates the agents executed multiple search warrants in Pueblo's southside neighborhoods.

A spokesperson for the DEA in Denver told 13 Investigates that all of the search warrants were connected and are part of the same ongoing investigation.

It's unclear what drugs were seized in either search and if anyone was taken into custody.

13 Investigates has filed a public record request with the Fourth Judicial District for all court records about the search that occurred earlier in Fountain.

This is a developing story.
