Around 11 a.m. on Nov. 19, firefighters responded to a fire in the Bear Creek Park area and the surrounding neighborhoods of Electra Drive. The fire burned 26 acres but no structures or property was damaged. The grassfire was 100% contained the following day around noon.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but officers are asking community members to contact them if they were in the area of the fire that day or saw any suspicious activity.

If you have any information about the Bear Creek Fire, please call the CSPD at (719) 444-7000.
