Pueblo mayor extends 10 p.m. curfew to Nov. 27

Pueblo Curfew

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar announced Thursday that he is extending the city-wide curfew to Nov. 27.

Gradisar signed an extension of the Declaration of a Civil Emergency and Emergency Curfew. The declaration states that all Pueblo residents must be in their homes by 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. until Nov. 27. People going to the drug store, traveling to work or suffering a medical emergency are exempt from the curfew.

The curfew first took effect on Oct. 30 in an effort to curb the increase in COVID-19 cases. But as of Thursday, the State of Colorado moved Pueblo County to Level Orange: Safer-at-Home guidelines. The increase restrictions will be starting Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Pueblo Police Department has issued 11 curfew citations so far.
