COVID-19 outbreak at CSU-Pueblo halts student athletics
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado State University of Pueblo confirms five student-athletes have tested positive for COVID-19.
One of the students is home in isolation and the four others remain on campus in isolation, according to CSU Pueblo. For the next two weeks, all athletic activities and workouts have been canceled.
The university would not specify which sports team is involved, citing confidentiality requirements.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports additional students have also been placed in quarantine because they may have had contact with those who tested positive.
CSU Pueblo is restricting access to the library and student center for the next 14 days.
Dining services will also be limited to grab-and-go options on campus.
After Thanksgiving break there will be no in-person learning at CSU Pueblo.
The university announced its online only plan for the fall semester back in July.
