Multiple employees at The Broadmoor test positive for COVID-19
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Broadmoor has had at least four employees with confirmed cases of COVID-19, officially designating an outbreak at the famed resort.
The resort wasn't on the El Paso County Public Health Department's list of outbreaks in the county as of Monday morning, but a spokesperson with the county confirmed the cases to KRDO.
Natalie Sosa with El Paso County said "The Broadmoor has had 4 confirmed cases since July 25." It's not clear where the employees worked on the resort or exactly when they tested positive.
El Paso County says The Broadmoor is working with Public Health to "review and strengthen existing safety protocols and prevention measures."
No guests have reported positive cases of COVID-19, according to the county.
Sosa said The Broadmoor's outbreak would be added to the county's website list of outbreaks after we called for clarification Monday afternoon.
The Broadmoor has not responded to our requests for a comment.
