Colorado Springs car wash offers free service to teachers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A car wash in Colorado Springs is offering free washes to teachers to thank them during the pandemic.

Water Works Car Wash & Detail Center is offering teachers a free full-service wash every Sunday until September 13. Teachers only need to bring some sort of identification to any of their three locations:

  • 525 South Nevada
  • 2253 La Montana Way
  • 1108 North Academy (Citadel)

Jim Spinato, the CEO of Water Works, says the washes take between 30 and 40 minutes. They've partnered with Sasquatch Cookies, which is donating cookies for teacher to enjoy inside while waiting.

"I really want to thank the teachers for all they do for their students," Spinato said. "Hopefully we keep them healthy and safe during this crisis."
