Springs police respond to possible shooting at Bear Creek Dog Park

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department is responding to a possible shooting at the Bear Creek Dog Park, which is on the southwest side of the city.

Residents living near the area say they heard gunshots Thursday afternoon.

Officers and vehicles were seen at the parking lot, blocking off the area with yellow tape.

Natashia Kerr, a spokesperson for CSPD, said they are not investigating the incident as a homicide, but confirmed one person was found dead. Kerr said the investigation so far has not shown evidence of foul play.
