Pueblo man arrested after punching through glass and hitting ex-fiancé

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man is in custody after police in Pueblo say he punched through a glass window and hit his ex-fiancé.

Around 3:15 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to a home in the Belmont neighborhood regarding a domestic disturbance. The victim said her ex-fiancé had come to her residence and she refused to let him in. She was looking out the window when he punched through. the glass, breaking it and hitting her in the face.

In the process, the man cut his hand seriously and had to take himself to the hospital. Police found him there and arrested the suspect Vicente Ybarra after he was stitched up.

Ybarra is facing assault and domestic violence charges, as well as a misdemeanor warrant and a $50,000 felony warrant.
