Suspects lead police on chase near cemetery in east Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police officers chased down multiple wanted suspects through a cemetery near Murray Boulevard Wednesday morning.

Officers communicated on dispatch traffic that they were following four suspects in a vehicle when they fled on foot near Memorial Gardens Cemetery. At least one person was reported to be armed.

Police detained at three people, but the situation is still ongoing as of 11:15 a.m.

Police said that the investigation is connected to a robbery, but few details have been made available.

Residents near Murray and Chapman Drive are urged to stay inside; travelers should avoid the area.
