COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- With the year coming to a close, we're looking back on the stories that attracted the most viewers in 2019 and if there's one clear pattern, it's the popularity of crime stories.

Here are the top 10 most-viewed stories on KRDO.com, according to Google Analytics:

10. Pueblo police arrest suspect after body dumped in suitcase
In October, Anthony Cuevas was arrested by law enforcement in Pueblo for first-degree murder. Cuevas was allegedly caught on video camera disposing of his mother in a car wash dumpster after killing her and stuffing her dismembered body into a suitcase.

9. Woman killed, 2 men shot at Colorado Springs night club
A 19-year-old woman was killed in a shootout inside The Social nightclub in north Colorado Springs, and two other men were injured. Police arrested a 23-year-old suspect from Missouri.

8. Taco Star operator accused of laundering drug money
Federal prosecutors say the owners of several fast-food Mexican restaurants around Colorado Springs, including Taco Star, were laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars in drug trafficking proceeds.

7. Carlin Dunne dies in crash at Pikes Peak Hill Climb
Carlin Dunne was on pace to set a blistering motorcycle record during the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, but a bump threw him from his motorcycle in the final stretch at the summit. Dunne was pronounced dead, and the Hill Climb has temporarily suspended the motorcycle divisions of the race.

6. CSPD releases video of De'Von Bailey shooting
De'Von Bailey was shot multiple times in the back while running away from police officers in August. Police received a report that Bailey had robbed another man at gunpoint, and officers believed that Bailey was reaching for a gun in his shorts while he was running away before they opened fire. Family members sought the release of the body camera footage of the incident.

5. Marine seeks Siberian Husky after she was given away
A U.S. Marine returned home from deployment to discover that his beloved Siberian Husky was given away to an animal shelter by the person who was supposed to be taking care of the dog.

4. 1 found dead in sleeping bag after blizzard
An overnight blizzard in January turned out to be deadly when first responders discovered that a man who was trying to sleep through the storm in a sleeping bag at a bus stop passed away because of the extreme cold.

3. List of classroom rules at Pueblo middle school sparks controversy
A middle school teacher in Pueblo caught controversy for a list of strict rules, including no bathroom breaks and no talking without permission. The district stepped in and rewrote the rules in the classroom.

It didn't come as a surprise to many, but the numbers showed what many in Colorado have been complaining about in recent years: the state is becoming unaffordable for low-income workers.

Honorable mentions: The Patrick Frazee trial was near the top, but many of the bombshells were spaced out over multiple articles. The bomb cyclone winter event was a large driver of traffic to our weather page, and more people checked on school/office closures than any other individual story for the entire year.
