Man ties sheets together in escape attempt at Colorado Springs hotel
Colorado Springs police received a call early Tuesday morning alerting them that a wanted felon was located at a Colorado Springs hotel.
Officers went to the 8000 block of N. Academy Blvd. around 2 a.m. and tried to contact Glen Mitchel Frost.
Frost had been telling police he was armed, and he refused to come out of the hotel room. He began tying bed sheets together and tied them to his fourth-floor balcony and then threw pillows to the ground in an attempt to escape.
After a short standoff and negotiations, Frost came out and was taken into custody without incident.
Frost was a featured wanted fugitive by Pikes Peak CrimeStoppers for several weeks. He was wanted for aggravated motor vehicle theft, theft, and another count of attempted escape.
