12-year-old child dies in drowning at apartment complex pool in Colorado Springs

Saturday afternoon Colorado Springs police department responded to the 3400 block of Parkmoor Village drive to investigate a report of a child drowning.

Officers located a 12-year-old boy who was taken to the hospital where he died.

The initial scene investigation is complete but the investigation itself will continue a few more days as more information is gathered.

Foul play is not believed to be a factor.
