Couple identified in double homicide in El Paso County
A couple in their 70s was identified as the two people found dead in a house in Hanover this past weekend.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that 72-year-old Larry Nelson and 70-year-old Pamela Nelson were killed inside a house in the 13500 block of Hobby Horse Lane. ( MAP )
The case is being investigated as a double homicide, the sheriff’s office said. No other information was given, including the cause of their deaths.
No information was given on a suspect, and the sheriff’s office urged residents in the area to be vigilant and to call police for anything suspicious.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide in Hanover near South Peyton Highway.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Hobby Horse Lane early Saturday morning for a welfare checkup and upon arrival found two people dead.
The identity of the individuals has not been released, neighbors told KRDO it was a couple in their 70’s.
There is no suspect information at this time.
