Family and friends of Carlos Perea held a candlelight vigil near the Rawlings main library Saturday to mark a year-old murder case that has gone cold.

Perea was killed February 6th of 2015, after a shooting that happened in front of Pueblo’s main library.

Police say Perea was riding as a passenger in a car on Abriendo Ave., when an argument erupted with a neighboring vehicle.

Perea died of a single gunshot wound. Police have not released any suspect info, except to say that the shooting was, “likely gang-related”.

They are still searching for leads in the case. Anyone with information is urged to call Pueblo’s Crime Stopper hot line at (719) 542-STOP. Remember, you can remain anonymous if you so choose.
