Power restored in Colorado Springs after dump truck starts on fire

Colorado Springs Utilities said power has been restored to more than 2,000 customers after a dump truck crashed into a utility transformer box Wednesday night.

At one point, about 2,300 CSU customers were without power.

The crash happened near the intersection of Rockrimmon Boulevard and Tech Center Drive around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters told us that no one was in the truck at the time of the accident and no one was hurt.
