Crews respond to an early morning house fire
Colorado Springs fire crews responded to an early morning house fire Wednesday.
The fire was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. at a house on Cheyenne Boulevard.
Fire officials say the house was being remodeled and the materials inside the home from the remodel caused some concern.
Crews were alerted to the fire because of reports of smoke in the area.
Neighbors Jane Lewis said she woke up and her white curtains in the living room were red. She said she had flashbacks to the Waldo Canyon fire. Investigators are working to find a cause .
