KRDO’s Thursday Morning Pet of the Week

KRDO’s Pet of the Week, brought to you by the Humane Society and High Country Veterinary Hospital.

Marshmallow Roast is your KRDO pet of the week from Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region! She is a ten-month-old tricolor Guinea Pig that came to HSPPR as an owner surrender. This is a cute reminder that HSPPR takes in all domestic pets, even the ones that are barely a pound in weight.

Marshmallow Roast is the perfect name for this sweet Guinea Pig with her golden color, just in time for summer! She loves to eat her daily fresh veggies, run around her kennel, and hide in her house.

Although Guinea Pigs are typically skittish, Marshmallow Roast allows you to pick her up and will warm up to you more over time. Guinea Pigs are also social animals so you can house more than one together!
