On the lookout: Nothing good happens after midnight

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Know the saying, "nothing good ever happens after midnight"? It holds true for the two crimes featured in the latest "On the Lookout" segment.

The first occurred on Sunday, November 8, at 4:15 a.m. in Pueblo's Northridge area. A KRDO viewer sent us surveillance of the suspect in the act, checking the doors to the viewer's Jeeps, which were parked outside their home.

The man -- in his 20s to 30s -- wears glasses, and has a square jaw. His hair is shaved on the sides, with the top slightly longer.

According to Pueblo police, this property was burglarized several years ago, and it's possible the suspect kept the key to the Jeep, only to circle back and steal it later.

The silver Jeep has a Colorado license plate, 071-TTH.

If you have any information, call the Pueblo police at 719-542-STOP.

The second suspect struck a home in the 4500 block of Evans Drive, west of Monument, off Baptist Road. This incident happened at 2 a.m., Thursday, November 19.

The heavy-set male suspect, wearing a Carhartt coat, could be seen on the home's surveillance camera, walking around the exterior. According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, he broke one of the home's windows, and damaged the front door -- but never got inside.

The home alarm system likely spooked the man as he left behind key items to his attempted break-in: a white mesh bag, black leather gloves, a single white glove, a white washcloth, a flathead screwdriver, and a small blue pry bar.

Police say he drives a small white sedan.

If you know anything, call the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 719-520-7777.
