El Paso County sees 891 new COVID-19 cases within 24 hours

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Within the last 24 hours El Paso County saw 891 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5 COVID-related deaths, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

This recent surge in cases comes as El Paso County moves to Safer-at-Home: Level Orange beginning Friday at 5 p.m.

Last week on November 3, the incidence rate surpassed the Stay-at-Home threshold. As of Friday, November 13, the incidence rate in El Paso County is 886.2, according to state data.

Pueblo County is seeing a similar spike in cases. According to data, there were 285 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 4 COVID-related deaths in Pueblo County.

Earlier this week the State of Colorado moved Pueblo County to Safer-at-Home: Level Orange guidelines starting Saturday at 5 p.m. Pueblo Mayor Gradisar also announced an extension on the current 10 p.m. curfew.
