Cimarron Hills fire that began Sunday is now 100% contained
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- As of 1:30 p.m. Monday, a fire in the Cimarron Hills area that forced a brief evacuation Sunday afternoon is 100% contained.
Officials confirmed the containment and also said the fire was entirely out.
The fire was first reported around 3:50 p.m. on April 2 near Galley Road and Peterson Road. Nearby residents were put on a mandatory evacuation for nearly three hours.
That evacuation affected thirty homes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
