The race to become the next governor of Colorado; Jared Polis re-elected
DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- Tuesday night during the 2022 Midterm Elections, voters chose incumbent Gov. Jared Polis to stay in office.
AP News called the race in his favor at 7:58 p.m.

His Republican opponent, Heidi Ganahl, gave her concession speech shortly after 8 p.m. While she wished the re-elected governor well, she said he has a duty for all of Colorado, not just Denver and Boulder.
Polis' win came quickly, being called by multiple national outlets about 45 minutes after the polls closed.
The gubernatorial candidates are:
- Heidi Ganahl, a Republican
- Incumbent Jared Polis, a Democrat
- Paul Noel Fiorino, with the Unity Party
- Danielle Neuschwanger, with the American Constitutional Party
- Kevin Ruskusky, a Libertarian
Colorado was one of 36 gubernatorial seats up for grabs in 2022.
