The School Buzz: 2 remarkable southern Colorado graduates

The final School Buzz segment of the season highlights two remarkable graduates from two separate southern Colorado high schools.

First up is Schon Moore, this year’s valedictorian at Rye High School.

Schon is class VP, FFA VP and part of the National Honor Society. He is involved with the facilities maintenance rotation at Parkview Medical Center, all while earning the Colorado School of Mines President’s Scholarship and the school’s Medal of Achievement in Math and Science Scholarship. He plans to attend the Colorado School of Mines in the fall to study mechanical engineering.

Ryan Kindt is a graduate of Woodland Park High School. He's graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.1 GPA. He’s a cross country and track runner who also plays in band, he's involved in his youth group; he’s also climbed 17 fourteeners, the first one when he was seven years old. Ryan earned the prestigious Walter Scott Jr. Scholarship and the Green and Gold scholarship from the Walter Scott Jr. School of Engineering at Colorado State University where he’ll attend next year.

A huge congrats once again to not just Ryan and Schon, along with all of our graduates across southern Colorado.
