Person of interest in Manitou Springs RV park homicide arrested on unrelated charges
MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The person of interest identified after a homicide at an RV park in Manitou Springs has been arrested, according to court records.
Bobby Joe Berry was named as a person of interest in the death of Darrell Berry, his father.
Darrell, 70, was found dead inside a trailer at an RV park on El Paso Boulevard back in May. Investigators said Darrell's death was suspicious at the time, and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office put out a notice for Bobby Berry.
Bobby was booked into custody on charges of attempting to influence a public servant, possession of a weapon by previous offender, possession of a controlled substance, theft, and trespassing. He was arrested on Thursday, which is when court records say those offenses occurred. No charges have been filed against Bobby relating to the homicide, as of Monday.
