WATCH: CSPD drone helps de-escalate fight at Colorado Springs mobile home park, police say

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says a drone deployed by its Real-Time Crime Center helped officers quickly respond to a disturbance involving reports of a firearm and prevented the situation from escalating further.

According to CSPD, officers received a 911 call on June 21, reporting a disturbance at the A1 Mobile Home Park. Police said two men were involved in a physical altercation, and callers reported that a firearm may have been involved.

Police say a drone was on scene 27 seconds after deployment and helped stop the fight. According to CSPD, information from the drone operator enabled them to locate most of the individuals involved.

Police said the person observed with the knife in the video has not yet been identified, and no charges have been filed at this time.
