Crested Butte to join Vail Resorts, Epic Pass lineup

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is one of several ski areas being bought by Vail Resorts, and yes, it’s being added to the Epic Local Pass lineup.

That’s according to an announcement made Monday by Vail Resorts. The company is also purchasing three other mountain resorts: Okemo in Vermont, Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire, and Stevens Pass in Washington.

All four are being added to the Epic Local Pass lineup with unlimited and unrestricted skiing or snowboarding.

Vail Resorts is dropping nearly $150 million on the agreements to buy the resorts — $82 million to the Mueller family’s Triple Peaks, LLC for Okemo, Sunapee, and Crested Butte; $67 million to Ski Resort Holdings, LLC for Stevens Pass. The plan is to invest $35 million in them over the next two years. The deal is expected to be finalized by the end of the summer.

More information about the passes can be found HERE.
