BEAUTIFUL Halloween Expected, Unsettled End of Work Week

Tonight:  Partly to mostly cloudy and cool with low temperatures in the 20s and 30s for most, but the high mountain valleys will dip into the teens.

Sunday:  Partly to mostly cloudy and a little breezy in spots during the afternoon with slightly cooler high temperatures in the 50s and 60s for most areas, but again, some mountain communities may remain in the 40s.

Extended:  Halloween looks slightly warmer and perhaps a little windier for some areas, but overall looks like a mostly sunny and pleasant day considering what can happen this time of year. Through Thursday we expect relatively warm temperatures in the 60s and 70s for the plains with 50s over the mountains and mountain valleys with a mixture of clouds and sun. The wind will increase noticeably as the week progresses and the next batch of colder air approaches for late in the week and next weekend, at which time we may have at least scattered rain and snow showers over parts of the area.
