High Winds, Critical Fire Weather and Mountain Snow Expected this Week

Tonight:  Partly cloudy and cooler with low temperatures in the 20s to lower 30s for the plains, teens to lower 20s for the mountains and mountain valleys.

Extended:  Monday should feature a mix of clouds and sun, breezy conditions, and temperatures in the 50s and 60s for most areas. Tuesday and Wednesday look warmer and windy with afternoon temperatures in the 60s and 70s for the plains, 50s over our local mountain communities. Clouds will probably increase Tuesday night and Wednesday with snow moving over the Continental Divide during the day on Wednesday. Locally there could be a brief rain and/or snow shower over and near the mountains late Wednesday, or more likely Wednesday night into early Thursday. Colder air should settle over the area for the end of the week.
