Flash Flooding & Strong Storms Expected This Evening
Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain may continue well into the night with the potential for flooding also continuing. Low temperatures will fall into the 50s and 60s for most areas.
Extended: We expect Monday to remain relatively cool with scattered thunderstorms most likely over and near the mountains or along and south of the Arkansas River, and temperatures in the 70s and 80s for most areas. Warmer air and drier conditions are expected for many areas Tuesday through Thursday, although isolated showers and thunderstorms are still possible over and very near the mountains and possibly over the Raton Mesa. By late in the week to next weekend thunderstorms may become more numerous over the plains again.
