Seasonable Temperatures, Scattered PM Storms

Tonight:  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will decrease in coverage over and near the mountains quickly this evening, but isolated showers and thunderstorms could continue well into the night over the plains. Partly cloudy by morning with low temperatures in the 50s and 60s for most areas, but the high mountain valleys and some mountain communities will cool into the 40s.

Sunday:  Partly cloudy and slightly warmer with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected again during the afternoon, especially over and near the mountains. High temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the plains with 70s to lower 80s for the mountains and high mountain valleys.

Extended:  No major changes to the weather for the 4th of July with scattered afternoon thunderstorms expected. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected daily throughout the week with the primary concerns being areas of heavy rain over and near the mountains and severe weather at times over the plains.
