Mainly sunny and warm heading towards the weekend

A beautiful Thursday on tap with warming temperatures heading into the weekend.

TODAY: Plenty of sunshine with temperatures warming into the low and mid-80s. Chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms remain low and will be focused mainly to the west over higher terrain.

TONIGHT: Clear skies and mild overnight with morning lows bottoming out in the low and mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Friday will remain on the quiet side with sunny skies and temperatures really starting to heat up. Temps will top out Friday in the mid and upper-80s and the low-90s are in the forecast for Saturday. Sunday offers up the best chance to see scattered afternoon shower and thunderstorm activity. The 80s remain in the forecast through the middle of next week.
