Chris Larson Full
KRDO

Meteorologist Chris Larson is thrilled to join the KRDO Storm Tracker 13 weather team in Colorado Springs. He has some thirty years of experience in broadcasting.

For the past five years, Chris worked as a meteorologist and morning show host at WBTV, the CBS affiliate in Charlotte, NC where he covered everything from severe summer storms to hurricanes and winter snow and ice storms.

This was a homecoming of sorts for Larson who grew up in Boone, NC, and interned at WBTV during his senior year at Appalachian State University. Prior to joining WBTV, Chris was Chief Meteorologist for ten years at the ABC affiliate in Reno, NV.

Chris has been an avid skier since the age of eight and grew up skiing at a small resort in western North Carolina. He and his wife, Meliss (not a typo), met while they were working for Heavenly ski resort in Lake Tahoe in 2001, and they've been making turns ever since. Meliss was born and raised in Denver and the couple is excited to be here in Colorado Springs and look forward to all of the outdoor adventures that the Pikes Peak region has to offer.
